Music Untamed at Fairfield Halls

The Cedars Admin • 10 March 2016

On Wednesday 10th March, two of our young musicians performed alongside musicians from the Grand Union Orchestra for ‘Music Untamed’ at Fairfield Halls. A total of 300 talented youngsters were selected to perform at this special event. With support from the Mayor’s Music Fund for young Londoners, the Grand Union orchestra had been working with them in groups for the past few weeks. Music was explored from different traditions such as those from Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. This year’s concert was particularly significant as it was the last showcase for Croydon Musicians before Fairfield Halls shuts for its refurbishment.
