The Cedars School is an accredited member of the Independent Schools Association.
Founded in 1879, the Independent Schools Association is one of the oldest of the independent schools’ organisations. Since 2014, they have been a registered charity and are proud to promote their charitable objectives. ISA provides professional support to over 360 member Headteachers.
As a member The Cedars School benefits from high quality training opportunities and access to a wide range of membership services, while pupils can enjoy an extensive programme of local and national Sporting, Arts and Cultural events.
We are pleased to share our inspection report which took place in April. In summary, the school was found to be compliant
in all areas; pupils’ personal development was judged to be excellent, and pupils’ achievements to be good.
The inspection was what is known as a ‘Regulatory Compliance Inspection’ (RCI), the purpose of which is to report on the school’s compliance with the Independent School Standards Regulations. For one thing, the outcome is binary: compliance or non-compliance. The inspectors only make qualitative judgements therefore where the regulations are phrased to demand them and even then, they use minimalist language to avoid all but strictly necessary quality judgements. Our inspection was successful and we were found compliant on each of the several hundred regulations that relate to independent schools.
