The Student’s Book Club

Welcome to the Book Club for students. Each half term we will choose a different topic and suggest books for each key stage. We will then meet towards the end of the next half term for discussion.

The first topic is World War II and the books your son can choose are the following:

Years 7-9

 Elaine Murray Stone – Maximilian Kolbe: Saint of Auschwitz

 Hilda Van Stockum – The Winged Watchman

Years 10-11

 Fr Gereon Goldmann – The Shadow of His Wings

 J.G. Ballard – Empire of the Sun

6th Form

 Evelyn Waugh – Men at Arms (and the rest of the ‘Sword of Honour’ Trilogy)

 Primo Levi – The Periodic Table
