A Special Inspirational Visitor

The Cedars Admin • 23 April 2015

We were delighted to have Pedro Ballester visit the Cedars School.  Pedro is a first year university student at Imperial College who was diagnosed with bone cancer last December. Pedro, together with other university students, has helped The Cedars during open days in the past and wanted to see everyone again.

He came from Manchester for the day and stayed with us for a few hours in the morning. Pedro visited all the year groups to tell them about his experience of cancer, his struggles with chemotherapy and how his outlook on life has changed as a result of his struggle with cancer. Pedro’s cheerfulness (and jokes!) during his visit are a reminder of how much good we can do for others regardless of our circumstances.

We were all tremendously inspired by the faith and joy he transmitted. We wish him a speedy recovery, and our prayers and thoughts are with him and his family.
