Seminar: Polar Exploration

The Cedars Admin • 28 November 2014

Richard Eyre is a remarkable man by any standards. He came to tell pupils and staff the story of his 2013 expedition to the South Pole in the company of Prince Harry and a group of disabled servicemen. It was fascinating to hear about his experiences and see photographs of the journey. But it was also inspiring to hear of the courage and positive spirit of his companions, most of whom had suffered life-changing injuries including double amputations and blindness. The boys were clearly gripped and the questions showed no signs of letting up when the Q and A session was finally brought to a close after 35 minutes!
